Psychological Assessment & Treatment Fees as at 1st January 2025

Elysium Psychology session fees take into account that each hour of therapeutic time typically includes a minimum of half-hour of associated non-billable professional time such as research, consultation and session preparation and follow up admin.

Psychological Treatment

Private/ Self Funded $220 business hours and $230 before 9am and after 5pm and on Saturdays

Medicare- Mental Health Care Plan $220 (Medicare Rebate $96.65 – out of pocket expense $123.35)

Private Health Insurance $220 business hours and $230 before 9am and after 5pm and on Saturdays – check with your insurer regarding rebates.

Transport Accident Commission (TAC) $220 (Rebate from TAC $197.27 – out of pocket expense $22.73) nb. Additional $10 for AH or weekend appointments

WorkCover $220 (Rebate from WorkCover $195.02 – out of pocket expense $24.98) nb. Additional $10 for AH or weekend appointments

NDIS Plan/ Self Managed – as per NDIS fee structure (no out of pocket expense for the client)

VOCAT- as per VOCAT fee structure (no out of pocket expense for the client)

Nb. Our fees are substantially lower that the AAPI National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2024-2025 which has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $315

Relationship Counselling Sessions (2 people)

Relationship counselling sessions – $275 (90 mins) business hours and $285 on Saturdays and after 5pm

Family Counselling Sessions (3+ people)

Family Counselling counselling sessions – $300 (90 mins) business hours and $310 on Saturdays and after 5pm

Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Assessment

Cost: $1260 (Child under 12 years)

Price includes: pre-assessment screening, 1 x 2h assessment session, online assessments, 1x 1h observation session (under 12 years only), comprehensive report and 30 min feedback session.

Cost: $945 (12+ years)

Price includes: pre-assessment screening, 1 x 2h assessment session, online assessments, comprehensive report and 30 min feedback session.

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Assessment

Cost: $1995 (Child under 16 year)

Price includes: pre-assessment screening, 2 x 2 hour interview assessment session, 1x 1h observation session, comprehensive report and 30 min feedback session.

This comprehensive interview provides a thorough assessment of individuals suspected of having autism or other autism spectrum disorders. The ADI-R has proven highly useful for formal diagnosis as well as treatment and educational planning.

To administer the ADI-R, an experienced clinical interviewer questions a parent or caretaker who is familiar with the developmental history and current behaviour of the individual being evaluated. The interview can be used to assess both children and adults, as long as their mental age is above 2 years, 0 months.

The ADI-R provides categorical results for three domains: Language/Communication, Reciprocal Social Interactions, and Repetitive Behaviours/Interests

Observation is completed using the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS).

Test age range: 2 years +

This comprehensive interview provides a thorough assessment of individuals suspected of having autism or other autism spectrum disorders. The MIGDAS-2 has proven highly useful for formal diagnosis as well as treatment and educational planning.

The MIGDAS-2 systematically gathers and organizes the information needed to diagnose autism spectrum disorder (ASD): covering three areas: Language and Communication, Social Relationships and Emotional Responses, and Sensory Use and Interests

Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC)

Cost: $945

Price includes: pre-assessment intake, x 2 hour assessment session, comprehensive written report and 30 min feedback session.

The Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children is a comprehensive measure of a child’s intellectual ability.

The assessment involves a powerful set of 16 optional process-oriented subtests that assess different facets of intelligence.

Test age range: 6 -16 years

Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT)

Cost: $1365

Price includes: pre-assessment intake, 1 x 3 hour assessment session, comprehensive written report and 30 min feedback session.

The WIAT-III A&NZ is suitable for use in a variety of clinical, educational, and research settings, including schools, clinics and private practices.

Use WIAT-III A&NZ results to: Identify the academic strengths and weaknesses of a student, inform decisions regarding eligibility for educational services, educational placement, or diagnosis of a specific learning disability and design instructional objectives and plan interventions

Test age range: 4 -50:11 years

Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS)

Cost: $945

Price includes: pre-assessment intake, 1 x 2 hour assessment session, comprehensive report and 30 min feedback session.

The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale is a comprehensive measure of an adult’s intellectual ability that includes a full-scale IQ score in addition to index scores that measure different facets of intelligence.

Test age range: 16 years +

Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS)

Cost: $1155

Price includes: 1 x 2 hour assessment session, comprehensive written report and 30 min feedback session.

The Wechsler Memory Scale (WMS) is a comprehensive measure of adult memory functioning and assessed both auditory and visual memory. The results of a memory assessment help an individual develop effective strategies to retain information to aid future learning processes. The results from the test can also be used to provide further insight into an individual’s performance on the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale.

Assessment generally takes between 1-3 hours to complete.

Comprehensive Mental Health Assessment (Adult)

Cost: $945

Price includes: 1 x 2 hour clinical interview, online assessment, comprehensive written report and 30 min feedback session.

We use the PAI and the SCID and SCID-PD in our comprehensive mental health assessment. The PAI is an objective inventory of adult personality, the PAI assesses psychopathological syndromes and provides information relevant for clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, and screening for psychopathology.

Test age range: 18 years to 89 years

Cancellation Fees

Elysium Psychology will charge the full fee for any appointments cancelled within 2 business days of the allocated appointment time or for any “no show” appointments. This fee will be charged to the credit card held on file. All outstanding fees need to be finalised prior to other appointments being offered.

Assessments attract a 7 day cancellation period, otherwise the deposit will be forfeited.
